A Benefit Gala for the Tibetan Aid Project.

About the Event

In 2001, a longtime interest in Buddhism inspired Chef Laurent Manrique to combine his culinary talents and connections with the work of the Tibetan Aid Project for the benefit of Tibetans in exile. Out of this inspiration grew Taste & Tribute, a fine dining experience that, over the past decade, has blossomed into a vital cornerstone for the preservation of Tibetan culture.

For the past ten years we have had the honor to work with award-winning chefs to create a premiere event on the San Francisco charity calendar. Every year we have grown, refined our efforts, created more meaningful relationships, and been able to provide more support for Tibetan communities around the world.

The event begins with a reception of champagne and hors d’oeuvres. While guests mingle in the lobby they have the opportunity to take part in our silent auction which features, among many other things, weekend getaways, dining experiences, fine wine, and exceptional Tibetan artwork.

Guests are then called into the main ballroom of the Four Seasons San Francisco where they are seated at a table set for twenty. Each table then meets the pair of culinary masters who will prepare a unique four-course gourmet meal for them tableside.

To accompany dinner we host a live auction where Greg Quiroga, our auctioneer, marvelously displays exotic getaways, personalized dining opportunities, and many other ways to support our vision to rebuild, preserve, strengthen, and perpetuate the Tibetan culture.
